The smoke goes
through the smoke hole
through the glass darkly
to yoga on mondays
where the fire can’t

The smoke goes
merrily merrily merrily merrily
life is but a screen
as smoke does

babble babble
the smoke goes entropic
the smoke goes to the guy with the tie die socks
whoosh
up my nostrils
in search of fire
as the wind
it goes
like: so many ostensible keepers
evolving
whispering through each
of our dreams
